Did you know that you can get all of your PDUs / CEUs in one place?

While Continuing Education Units (CEUs) requirements vary by the organization requiring them, the PMI PDU requirements are very well defined here. In summary, you need a minimum of 35 credits in the Education category and you can report a maximum of 25 credits in the Giving Back category.

Just remember time spent = PDU credit. One hour equals one PDU.

Here are the ways you can leverage the IMPACT content on this site and inside our exclusive membership program to collect all of the PDUs you need for an entire cycle! Yes, all 60 PDUs!

Enjoy and thank you for being a part of the IMPACT by Laura community.

PMO IMPACT Summit: Each of the videos count in the Education category under “Online or Digital Media” for the number of minutes/hours of each video. You can find the PMI Talent Triangle Category right on the speaker page underneath their topic description.

Templates: Each time you leverage a template, you are “Working as a Professional” and those credits count in the PMI Giving Back category.

eBooks and Blog: Reading eBooks count toward your PMI Education category under the “Read” section.

Training Programs: Both the Tune-Ups and the Shifting Gears courses offer PDUs that cover all three required areas of the PMI Talent Triangle in the Education category under “Online or Digital Media.”  Remember, the online or Digital Media Education Instructor-led training PDUs includes the TOTAL amount of time it takes for the course and ALL associated lesson materials.   That is defined as the total time it takes to complete the review of the course video on the Training tab, as well as the companion readings and completion of all associated exercises, workbooks, and/or worksheets on the Download tab, and the test of knowledge acquired on the Quiz tab.

Presentations:  Videos and presentation files also count as either “Read” or “Online or Digital Media” sections of the Education category.

Webinars: Each of my monthly webinars count in the Education category under “Course or Training” if you watch them live or “Online or Digital Media” if you watch them as a replay (they count toward your education credits equally, either way you watch them).

Group Coaching Programs: These programs count toward your “Course or Training” Education category requirements.

IMPACT Mastermind and Community: Don’t forget that contributing in our private Mastermind group counts as either Education category “Informal Learning” section if you are learning from others or Giving back category “Sharing Knowledge” section if you are giving guidance or supporting the group.

Member Resources: You can get credit for the “Sharing Knowledge” section of the Giving Back category by contributing your content here. Creating that content counts under the “Create Content” section of the Giving Back category.

IMPACT Project Management Playbook: This one is big! There are prerecorded videos, content to read, templates to apply. You can get tons of education credits and Giving Back credits (by applying the templates and learnings to your projects) across all three categories of the PMI Talent Triangle with this gem!

IMPACT PMO Playbook: There is a ton of content inside this playbook meant to help you drive a high-IMPACT with your PMO. You can get tons of education credits and Giving Back credits (by applying the learnings to your PMO development and maturity) across all three categories of the PMI Talent Triangle with this gem!

What is the difference between a PMI-approved course and other training courses?

Training courses do not need to be “PMI approved” in order to count toward your PDU requirements for certification or recertification. PMI recently made changes that made it much simpler to report PDUs for all training courses, regardless of whether or not an instructor has paid the $2500 a year to be listed in the CCRS course drop down. Simply follow the instructions above to submit your PDUs in the appropriate category.
